The Hanuman Syndrome

Lord Hanuman among his several strengths and virtues had only one weakness(due to a mild curse). He always forgot his strengths and had to be reminded about it by someone else.

I think every one of us have this problem where we forget where our strengths lie or what we are capable of. In these circumstances it helps to have a friend or companion who gently reminds us of our true ability.

Have you identified such a person in your life?

How would you like to be remembered?

Watched the most amazing documentary on JK Rowlings and the documentary ended with one last question and her answer just somehow hit the spot, I think thats all we should aspire for in a lifetime.

How would you like to be remembered?
As someone who did the best she could with the talent she had

There is a tremendous sense of satsfaction going to bed every night, knowing that you are doing the best you can with your work, life and relationships. We should ask ourselves this question every night and I somehow feel happiness(love, success, money et al.) will just follow!

When was the last time you asked yourself that question?

Too Late or too old

This Oct 2, the greatest realization that dawned on me was the fact that Gandhi moved to India in 1915 at the age of 46 and won us Independence. Its amazing what can be achieved in this life if you have the will or desire, age in this case will be reduced to a mere number.

I guess its not too late for me to start learning the guitar , French or the salsa :)

let the ramblings begin

Sept 30, 2009 will stand an important day for me as I finally crawl into the 21st century to join the blogging brigade. The reasons for this step has been two fold; first being pure peer pressure; there are so many idiots scribbling stuff across that I decided why not me; the second is my friends are honestly tired listening to me ramble and crib about the ways of life, so decided to share this pain with the rest of you and not just my friends.

PS: in a recent survey among my friends/acquaintances, Blackberry addiction seems to be the only character they were able to recollect about my vibrant personality; hence the name.
